Golf Comic June 25th
There was a date misprint in The Veranda. The Golf Comic event will be Friday, June 25th at 8pm in The Atlantic Room.

Kids Camp Phone Number
There was also a misprint for the Kids Camp phone number. The correct number is 725-3470.

The Pelican's Nest
The Pelican's Nest will be closed on Monday June 7th for deep cleaning. To give the member's a dining option, we will open Bohicket's for lunch and dinner on June 7 from 11am-9pm.

Seabrook Island Racquet Club Championships

* This weeks Court Schedule Update at the Racquet Club*

Courts have been released and there is court availability throughout the week with the exception of Saturday morning during the finals of the Singles and Mixed Doubles Flights. Court reservation requests will be accepted on a space available, first come first serve basis. Club Championship Finals matches are tentatively scheduled for Saturday morning and spectators are encouraged to come out and watch!

Save The Date - Men's Member-Guest Invitational
September 29 - October 2
We're anticipating the largest member-guest in our club's history and every club member is invited to play. Information and entry forms will be forthcoming later in June.




MGA Summer Sizzler and Beat the Pro's Saturday, June 12

Two-man teams pair up for this Four-Ball tournament with a chance to beat the pro teams. The tournament will be held on Ocean Winds beginning at 9 am and bets will be settled during the awards luncheon following play.




The Blitz is back!

Beginning May 26th, join us every Wednesday afternoon at 3 pm for a quick and casual 9 holes of golf. Each player contributes $12 to the prize pool, plus carts, and we play a Captain's Choice Scramble. Please sign up by noon the day of play.

Adult Clinics

Every Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:30 the professional staff conducts a short game clinic on pitching, chipping, putting, and bunker play. One week, we focus on chipping and putting. The next week, we focus on pitching and bunker. So, if you are beginner or just need a tune-up on the short game, call the Golf Shop, 768-2529, to sign up. The cost is $15.



On Thursdays from 9:30- 10:30 and Saturdays from 12 - 1, the professional staff conducts a 1 hour clinic devoted to the full swing. This is a great way for you and your guests to get quality instruction prior to playing or just to hone your skills. Whatever your playing level, the full swing clinic can aid your swing development. The cost is $15.00.


Announcing Junior Clinics!

Every Wednesday and Friday beginning in June, we will host Junior Clinics from 10:00 - 11:00. The cost is $10.00 and juniors age 6 and up are invited!


SEABROOK ISLAND BLOOD DRIVE


Please mark your calendars for the next Seabrook Blood Drive to be held Thursday, June 17th from 10:30am to 3:30 pm at the Oyster Catcher POA Center. Thirty-eight of you came in March resulting in 38 total pints, the best result in many years. Let's see if we can equal or even top those results this time. As always, you can preschedule your appointment by contacting Mary Flynn (yes, Mary is back from New Zealand and has promised to bring her famous lemon bars) at memflynn@aol.com, or 768-4149, or Pep Logan at mlogan@bellsouth.net , or 768-0334. We rely heavily on "Walk Ins" and of course want to encourage you to come at whatever time suits you best. However, if you have an appointment it may save you some waiting time. We know some of you have left for the summer or are traveling, but for those of you who are here and available, PLEASE COME. The need is urgent, as usual! Hope to see you on the 17th!
