The Seabrook Island Veterans group, in conjunction with SIPOA and the Club, is compiling a list of all Seabrookers who have served our country. Those of you who attended that Annual Meeting will remember their table at the event, and you may have filled out a registration form at that time. If you did not, please take a moment to do so now:

Social Bridge in the Deveaux Room
Join us for drinks at 5pm, dinner at 5:30pm and Bridge following dinner. You do not need to make reservations to play bridge, but you do need to make reservations for dinner. Please call 768-2571 to make your dinner reservations. Please let the hostess know that you will be eating dinner with the bridge group.

GOLF NEWS
Ladies 9 Holers Championship Wednesday, March 17th
Our growing group of 9 hole ladies plays their annual Stroke Play Championship. The competition is net and easy going so be brave and give this event a shot by calling the golf shop to sign up.
MGA Seabrook Cup Match Friday, March 19th and Saturday, March 20th
Join us for this unique, Ryder Cup type match play team event. Teams will be selected by the two low handicap captains at a cocktail party Wednesday evening. The match begins Friday with three (3) nine hole competitions using Scramble, Alternate Shot and Four-Ball formats. Saturday's format is eighteen holes of Individual Match Play with the losing team buying lunch. We need 24 - 32 players to conduct the event, so sign up individually in the golf shop
Ladies Swing, Dine and Drink in Pink Wednesday, March 24th
This event used to be known as "Swing for the Cure", and is played in conjunction with a tennis event to raise money for breast cancer research. The format is Captain's Choice Scramble and play will begin with an 8:45 shotgun start on Crooked Oaks with a luncheon following play. Entry forms including voluntary contribution packets can be picked up in the ladies locker room.
Spring Demo Day Friday, March 26th
Ready to improve your game with new equipment? Our Spring Demo Day is Friday, March 26th, 10-4. Come out and try the latest technology from major club manufacturers, Taylor-Made, Callaway, Cleveland, Nike, Ping, and Titleist/Cobra.
Even if you are not in the market for new clubs, please come and join the fun. There is no pressure to buy, but we do offer special pricing for all orders taken that day.
Employee/Member Golf Challenge Monday, March 29
This event has been rescheduled from February 22nd. If you were originally signed up, thank you, you'll have a spot in the event, but please call to confirm your participation. We will take sign ups to replace those members who may not be able to play on the make up date.
Our first Get Golf Ready program of 2010 is coming up March 22nd - 26th. This introductory program is designed to teach you in five short lessons everything you'll need to know to step onto a golf course and play with confidence. Lessons will include on-course activities guided by our trained professional staff who will make sure you have fun each step of way. The cost for the week is $99.00. Space is limited and filling up quickly, so call the golf shop to sign up.
Adult Clinics
Every Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:30 the professional staff conducts a short game clinic on pitching, chipping, putting, and bunker play. One week, we focus on chipping and putting. The next week, we focus on pitching and bunker. So, if you are beginner or just need a tune-up on the short game, call the Golf Shop at 768-2529 to sign up. The cost is $15.
On Thursdays from 9:30- 10:30 and Saturdays from 12 - 1, the professional staff conducts a 1 hour clinic devoted to the full swing. This is a great way for you and your guests to get quality instruction prior to playing or just to hone your skills. Whatever your playing level, the full swing clinic can aid your swing development. The cost is $15.00

TNT (Tennis in No Time)
This program is specifically designed for players who have never played tennis or have not played in a number of years. It emphasizes the basics of doubles play combining both skills and strategy. The program consists of six one hour sessions that will teach social doubles play in three weeks! This program will be offered on an on-going monthly basis throughout the year!
