KIAWAH PRESENTS "OUR WORLD"
HOURS OF OPERATION
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

It's that time of year again...when the weather warms up, the island is flooded with friends and family and the Pelican's Nest opens, bringing a temporary level of high demand to the Beach Club dining area. To maximize our ability to provide great service for our members and their guests during this time our weekly Tuesday night Member's Night, Saturday Steakhouse Night and Palmetto Dining Room service have been suspended until the week of Tuesday, April 13th. Bohicket's will continue to serve lunch and dinner during this time.

Additionally, due to extremely high demand for our Easter Brunch, the Pelican's Nest kitchen will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 4th, but the bar will remain open from 11am to 4pm offering cold beverages, hotdogs and snacks!

MGA Island Cup Match Wednesday, April 7th

Qualifying has begun for this men's interclub match against our neighbors from the Governor's Club at Kiawah Island. Qualifiers are held in conjunction with MGA Play Days on that course every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, so inform the professional staff before play if you'd like to attempt to qualify. This leg of the home and home is here on Ocean Winds starting at 9:30 with lunch following.

MGA Fab 20 Shootout Monday, April 12th

Possibly the most exciting event on the calendar, this shootout begins at 10 am with 20 guys teeing off together on #1 and #10 on Ocean Winds. Each hole, one player is eliminated until only two are left for the final hole. Successful qualifiers participate and qualifying is held in conjunction with MGA Play Days. Please inquire in the golf shop if you have any questions.

5th Annual SILGA Solheim Cup Matches

Wednesday, April 14th and Thursday, April 15th
The field is divided into two teams: the Herons(blue) and the Egrets(white),

and participants are encouraged to dress in their team colors. Day 1 consists

of 2 (9 - hole) formats: better ball of the two person team, and a two-person

captain's choice scramble. Day 2 is 18 holes of singles match play. Again,

both days are flighted, so you'll play with golfers with similar handicaps. The event is lots of fun (no stress!) and a luncheon will be held following Thursday's final round.

Adult Clinics

Every Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:30 the professional staff conducts a short game clinic on pitching, chipping, putting, and bunker play. One week, we focus on chipping and putting. The next week, we focus on pitching and bunker. So, if you are beginner or just need a tune-up on the short game, call the Golf Shop, 768-2529, to sign up. The cost is $15.

On Thursdays from 9:30- 10:30 and Saturdays from 12 - 1, the professional staff conducts a 1 hour clinic devoted to the full swing. This is a great way for you and your guests to get quality instruction prior to playing or just to hone your skills. Whatever your playing level, the full swing clinic can aid your swing development. The cost is $15.00

Junior Clinics

We are also conducting junior clinics around the spring break season for aspiring young golfers. Ages range from 6 to 12 and the clinics are offered Friday, April 2nd - Monday, April 5th - Wednesday, April 7th and Friday, April 9th from 10 am - 11 am. The cost is $10 per junior, so please sign up your interested juniors by calling the golf shop at 768-2529.
